• "Labor and Social Development" reviews the new portal for its electronic services

    The Ministry of Labor and Social Development announced its readiness to launch the electronic services portal in a new version, which includes all services provided by the ministry to the beneficiaries that to be done in accordance with a new mechanism based on the observations of the groups benefiting from this portal.

     

    This came during a workshop held on Tuesday September 25, 2018 in Asharqia Chamber entitled "Study of the customer experience of the official electronic portal- business sector."

    The workshop was attended by a large number of business men and women, as they were briefed on the Ministry's experience in providing electronic services and presented interactive suggestions on the site via mobile phones. It also attended by board member Saadoun bin Khalid Al Khalidi.

     

    Regarding the launch of more electronic services, a member of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber and Chairman of the ICT Committee, Nasser bin Rashid Al-Bajash, said, "in light of the rapid growth witnessed by our country today towards a diversified and competitive economy, and in line with technological development and in order to achieve sustainable development, the electronic services for individuals and institutions are helping in speeding up government transactions." In fact, electronic portal services is one of the most important supporting means to raise the level of productivity and control the local market operationally, with the long-term and highly competitive success.

    Al-Bajash added during the workshop, "in light of the global indicators of Saudi Arabia's progress on the Internet, and the goal of our wise government of the full electronic transformation by automating all services and stop paper transactions and reduce the need to visit government departments, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development has made significant progress in providing many of its services electronically."

    He added, " it is our call in Asharqia Chamber to hold such a workshop so that we as a business sector can identify this model in the leading electronic transactions and can identify the portal of the electronic services for the labor sector and workers provided by the Ministry and its content, how it works, and how important it is to enable economic establishments of all types to perform their duties easily."

     

    Moreover, the Director of electronic services at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Mohammed Al-Aliawi, said that the portal in its new version serves a number of beneficiaries (individuals, enterprises and government agencies).

    He pointed out that the first step in this regard is to listen to the beneficiary concerned groups. The focus will be on the owners of the establishments, so that the views of the individuals and then the governmental establishments that intersect with the Ministry will be identified in many activities and procedures.

     He expressed the hope that the first steps will be completed so that the second steps will be taken and launched to serve the beneficiaries, especially the institutions that work closely with the Ministry.

     

    The workshop witnessed an interactive survey by the audience on a number of topics (E-Services portal, control panel, queries, alerts, announcements, calendars, and suggested portal designs).

    The main features of the new portal were presented, which included new additions, including the explanation of the requirements for any service the recipient is looking for. The attendees were asked about the main advantages of the new design and the proposals to be added.

     

    The workshop was attended by the Director of Information Technology Project of the Ministry of Information Technology, Mohammed Al-Kanhal, and the CEO of AnSoft portal, Luay Labbani.​
